04-29-2024 The Bears Ask, "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?"

-----------------------------

Parker told us long ago

There's a calm before the storm
He knows

Last week, stagflation appeared in the GDP data, with slowing growth and rising inflation.  As a result, the 10-year yield hit our bear target of 4.71.

Jimmy Carter sacrificially appointed Paul Volcker to slay inflation.  Despite talking heads, it’s not the 1970s.  Jay Powell's credibility projects confidence that the Fed will lower rates prudently.

However, Gold's rapid rise signals that the markets want the Fed to disclose the plan to reduce Treasury sales on May 1.  Without it, the Bears reign.

Have You Ever Seen The Rain?  Comin' down in a Bearish way.
