Joe Farr is in his fourth decade in the mortgage industry, starting in accounting and finance, then secondary marketing and servicing, becoming President of one of the nation’s largest mortgage bankers in 1999.
Farr’s mortgage experience includes cost accounting, value creation, secondary marketing, buying and selling servicing rights, and mergers and acquisitions of all types of production operations.
Most recently Farr has provided originators and secondary staff a real-time understanding of how financial markets and other economic and political factors have or may affect mortgage rates.
A long-time member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, Farr was elected to serve as its President for the 2004-05 year. He also served on the Board of MERS Corp during its formative years in the early 2000s.
