The financial system is largely controlled by credit scores, which create financial inequality by being an inaccurate determination of someone’s ability to repay a loan. Lenders attempt to combat this by collecting income and employment data to augment a traditional credit score.
Unfortunately, the income and employment verification industry has been controlled by an organization who purchases consumer data without consumer permission and resells the data at a profit. The data sold often excludes large portions of the U.S. population and is largely inaccurate.
Truv is on the mission to put data back in the hands of consumers. We believe that consumer permissioned data is a direct path to financial freedom and equality.
