Jeremy Windham, CSME
Alabama State Banking Department, Montgomery, AL
Jeremy is employed by the Alabama Banking Department as the Mortgage Licensing/Examinations Coordinator. Jeremy has been with the Department for 20 years. He is responsible for regulating all licensed mortgage companies and all mortgage loan originators. He investigates cases of mortgage fraud and any reports of intentional violations.
Jeremy was an initial member of the Mortgage Testing and Education Board which was created by CSBS in 2009. He helped develop the national and state test for mortgage loan originators.
Jeremy is currently the Vice-Chair of the Multistate Mortgage Committee (MMC) and has conducted numerous MMC/CFPB coordinated examinations. He will be the Chair beginning in January 2020.
Daniel Smith, Senior Vice President, Government Relations
Daniel Smith is the Senior Vice President of Government Relations for ComplianceEase, the nation’s leading provider of risk management solutions to the financial services industry.
Smith is responsible for many company-wide initiatives, serves on the steering committee, and chairs the annual Risk and Compliance Summit. During his time with the company, he has fostered collaborative relationships with many of the largest, leading lenders and strategic partners.
