[David] Alice, let’s get over to you with a update on the regulatory and what we have in the legislative agendas going on out there. Any other great information. Thanks for checking out your, the headlines as well.
[Alice] First of all, just reiterating I was glad Dave brought up about the article on the Rockets with National Mortgage News. So go check that out. Also the MBA reported on already in their segment about the rescission of the repeat offender list. That was great news this last week. Kudos to everybody involved who got that moving forward. We’re really happy about that, unfortunately, some of you may have done some work on that already year to date because it was supposed to be in place already, maybe put it on a back shelf and hopefully it never has to come to fruition. While we’re talking about CFPB they also it was Monday, I think after we recorded the show. They have a court order has halted the employee terminations over there. We’re just gonna watch and see what happens with the staffing. Obviously you’re not gonna change anything you do, but that’s just an update for that and then CSBS and Armor have an event going on, and tomorrow is their National Policy Summit at the National Press Club in Washington and they haven’t done one of these since 2019. So we’ll listen in I’ll see if we can get some follow up, see if anything exciting comes out of that. NMLS has been going through some modernization. They have another round of modernization that’s gonna come out in September and I’m sorry, I should clarify my acronym. So the conference of State Bank Supervisors and the oh my gosh, I just totally drew blank on my, the ah, the armor armor acronym for the states totally. It’s the state regulators associations essentially. So they get together and do work together to try and understand what each states are experiencing. They, those two CS Bs from particular oversee the National Mortgage Licensing System, NMLS. We’ll let you know if anything comes out of that. You still can register if you wanna go. It’d be $375 if you wanna have an all day event at the National Press Club in Washington DC. And then last but not least, an interesting comparison between ops and sales. Allen, I know is always really good at throwing in his quips. My husband’s in sales and I was, I had a lot of sales, but also ops and we were talking about some of the difference between sales and ops. When you go to dinner with managers. So here’s something to watch in your staff when you, and he’s like talking about how a sales guys don’t wanna sit with their manager at a sales meeting. He says, I don’t wanna end up in a conversation if my numbers aren’t good. So watch who’s sitting by the manager and who’s not. Whereas in ops, you always wanted to sit by the manager. You always wanted to try and get some attention and try and get that upward mobility, but maybe not if you’re not doing well. A little manager tip, look who willing to sit by you at lunch. Go find the people who aren’t. If you wanna find out what’s going on, here’s my tip for the day.
[David] Manager avoidance syndrome is a very alive and real if you’re not performing well. That’s so true. That’s funny. That’s so good. Excellent. Good report. Thank you, Alice. I’m really encouraged by what the MBA is doing there. That’s what goes back to Mortgage Action Alliance slip. We already stated that, but folks, sign up for that. Have your voice heard. You don’t have to be a member of the MBA to do.
