On today’s show, we’ve got one of the most influential names in the mortgage industry, Faith Schwartz. We’ll be talking about the changes coming to GSE and regulatory leadership, the future of non-QM lending and more.
Faith Schwartz is president of FormFree and principal and founder of Housing Finance System Strategies, a housing finance strategic advisory firm. Among the most influential leaders in the mortgage industry, Schwartz has played a firsthand role in shaping housing finance best practices and public policy.
In 2007, Schwartz was recruited to lead HOPE NOW, an alliance formed by the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury in response to the housing market crisis. As HOPE NOW's executive director, a position she refers to as a "career highlight," Schwartz assembled a coalition of government agencies, lending institutions, nonprofits and housing trades. Schwartz has also held executive-level roles at CoreLogic and Freddie Mac and has served as a senior advisor to the leadership team of Accenture Credit Services.
Recognized by Mortgage Banking magazine as one of its 20 Distinguished Industry Women, Schwartz was also named one of HousingWire's 2012 Women of Influence and is a recipient of a lifetime achievement award from the Five Star Institute. She actively serves on the boards of Hope LoanPort (HLP), the National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA), Riskspan and Saint Anselm's Abbey School. She holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Shippensburg State College.
