Gold hit record highs as China and other BRICS continued their buying spree. So, why hoard Gold? Under Russia’s leadership, the BRICS, which includes many of the largest oil-producing countries, want to establish a global payment system to compete with the capricious Advanced Economies’ Swift system. Gold’s rise also reflects doubt that the Fed will avoid a liquidity crisis unless it curtails selling Treasuries.
Regardless, the 10-year yield is in limbo with no momentum. Stay tuned to shifting money We will, as the BRICS say,
